QSAND Webinar
This free webinar will provide you with an overview of the QSAND tool, its benefits for short and long term sustainability and its application on shelter and settlement reconstruction programmes. The webinar will be held quarterly throughout 2016, see below for dates.
Are you interested in sustainable development, construction, and master planning? Is part of your remit to integrate or specify sustainable solutions or approaches in reconstruction, disaster resilience or reconstruction projects or programmes? Or are you looking for a tool to benchmark the potential sustainability outcome as part of a reconstruction project and therefore identify the benefit to a disaster affected community?
Developed by drawing on the standards of BREEAM, the world leading sustainable design and assessment method for buildings, QSAND aims to drive and where relevant benchmark sustainable approaches to the recovery and reconstruction process.
This hour-long webinar will introduce you to the QSAND tool, providing information on the background to its development, the structure, content, how it works and its application in practice. It will also set out the benefits of using QSAND for sustainable shelter and settlement reconstruction programmes in disaster affected communities. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.
This webinar is intended for those who would like a short overview of the QSAND tool. Those interested in becoming fully trained to use and apply the QSAND tool should consider attending one of the upcoming 2-day QSAND Practitioner training courses.
